We collect the blood sample throughout the week, from Monday to Sunday and transport it immediately and safely to specialized collaborating microbiological laboratories.
We also undertake blood tests through the Health Insurance system of Greece.
Specifically for the blood gas test, which is a different type of test, Nosileia Tora has portable equipment of the latest technology and the results come out at the same time, without transporting the sample to a laboratory.
Preparing the patient for blood sampling
The patient must have drunk 2 glasses of water about 10 minutes before the blood collection. Water does not affect test values at all. In this way, the best blood circulation is achieved.
Depending on the type of test, you may need to fast from the night before and not take the morning medication.
The patient should be as calm as possible so that the test values are not affected. This is particularly benefited by the fact that the blood collection is done on site.
How is blood drawn?
Our nurses use special needles (butterfly needles) so that the blood collection is done faster and painlessly.
It is recommended that the patient be in bed so that the nurse can find the best possible vein and the patient is not disturbed.

Now the patient does not have to worry about whether they will “find a vein”. Nosileia Tora has a state-of-the-art vein detection machine (Vein Finder), so that blood can be taken immediately and painlessly at home.
The vein detection machine is mainly used in:
